hi all.

and so, i have sonic advance for the gba. (ordered it, came in the mail today.) it works fine. tiny chao garden saves, the game saves, runs like a dream. my issue, however, is the connectivity with sonic adventure dx / adventure two: battle for the gamecube. when i try and transfer my chao to and from, it gives me an fault as if i have NO GAME inserted in the GBA.

nonetheless, when i remove the cartridge, it downloads the temporary tiny chao garden to the GBA and works just fine. i was thinking maybe wiping the save file may assistance, yet the save file is only for the GAME Data. there is NO Mode to wipe the tiny chao garden salve file.

i've unscrewed my cart, and i've taken a look within. is there whatsoever advice yous accept on this issue / anything i can do to the cart physically to permanently wipe ALL data on information technology? (thinking that may solve the issue.)

every bit usual, thanks in accelerate, guys.

if you take a NDS and a flashcart you could wipe the data using information technology...
if the game does have a bombardment powered sram.. (y'all can see a coin bombardment inside the cartridge)
you can remove the battery (you volition have to unsolder the tab, Do NOT USE THE IRON ON THE Battery ITSELF)
removing the battery would erase all the information on the save
merely gba cartridges that utilise a battery for keep relieve data are rare, and if it has one probably your game is simulated...

if yous opened the carte du jour and you retrieve on short circuit something to to erase the data, yous will about likely permanently fry the cartridge and even take the gba with it... than erasing..

anyway, using a NDS with a DS flashcart would easily practice the task..
i am not sure if at that place is a homebrew to manage save data on a gamecube that connects to the gba...

yous could likewise create a xboo cablevision, (with a gba link cablevision) connect information technology through a parallel port on your pc and brand something out of it... but i can't give you much info nigh this..

http://gamebrew.org/wiki/GBA_Backup_Tool

download information technology, launch it on the TTDS with the sonic advance on slot 2
i think there is a pick to erase the information
edit;
there is an option to erase the data. select R to alter into save restore carte du jour (the blue foursquare will tell you wich tab you are in)
then select B "save surface area of ROM is initialized"
that means erase, its a badly translated program...

i bought a re-create of sonic advance from an online eBay store located in canada (my country), and it's NTSC-U. i'll post a motion picture of what it looks similar.
gamecube link cables work without a cartridge in the GBA. it's only WITH i that they seem to non notice annihilation, and information technology's only sonic take chances & sonic advance i've tried. i'll post a picture in a few seconds past editing this post.

EDIT: the moment you said that, it made me realize how different the GBA cart looked compared to the ane i owned as a kid.

i found out that information technology'due south not an NTSC-U cart. it works because it'southward region complimentary, but information technology wont play nice with sonic gamble two: battle / sonic adventure dx. it's my fault, really. i didn't pay attending when i bought it off of eBay. the listing says "region gratis" where as the rest of the listings i see specify "NTSC-U", so. not certain if that's my mistake or their fault. oh well, i messaged them.

thanks anyways, guys. sucks for me!

Is that one of those games where you kick the GBA holding select so the Nintendo logo goes abroad, then the Gamecube game boots along the cable? I might exist thinking of the Tingle Tuner.

I know this is a scrap late but information technology may be the regions for the games don't match up, quite a few games like this have a sort of region lock set up to it.
